About

Jocelynn Stallworth

My name is Jocelynn Stallworth and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT161001). I earned my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University and my Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from the University of California, Riverside. With over 10 years of experience working with youth and families and more than 6 years providing mental and behavioral health services, I have supported individuals across the lifespan in school-based, community, office, and in-home settings. I intentionally sought out diverse clinical experiences to build a broad and inclusive foundation that allows me to meet clients where they are.

My background includes clinical experience working with children, adolescents, adults, parents, and families experiencing symptoms related to anxiety, depression, trauma exposure, postpartum challenges, grief and loss, Autism Spectrum Disorder, attachment and relationship difficulties, and life transitions.

As a Black/African American therapist, I have developed a deep appreciation for the impact of culture, identity, family systems, and lived experiences on mental health. This perspective has strengthened my commitment to provide culturally inclusive and responsive care, by upholding respect for diversity factors throughout treatment.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in the following 3 core values: education, skill-building, and empowerment. I help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while providing evidence-based tools to support progress both in and outside of sessions. I also draw from Positive Psychology to help my clients identify their strengths, build resilience, and increase confidence in their ability to manage life stressors that are connected to presenting symptoms (e.g. anxiety). I view therapy as a collaborative process and value ongoing client feedback to ensure treatment aligns with each person’s goals. My work integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Family Systems Theory, Positive Psychology, Play Therapy, and principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).Whether you are navigating a transition period, healing from life experiences, or seeking personal growth, I look forward to supporting you in building resilience and meaningful change.
