About
Dorry Lillard
I have experience in the following treatment modalities: Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Strength Based Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Therapy. I have several years of experience providing individual and group therapy for adolescents and adults. I have a doctoral degree in educational leadership K-12 specialization. I have several years experience working with adolescents in schools who required intensive therapy and behavioral modification due to exposure to trauma and stress. I also have experience working in an adult residential treatment facility, providing individual and group therapy for clients with co-occurring disorders. I use a theoretical approach that incorporates a variety of treatment modalities which allows to best meet the needs of the individual. I strongly believe in providing a comfortable and trusting environment by active listening, empathizing, normalizing, and acknowledging the specific needs and desires of each client. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family, playing frisbee with my Border Collie, and going to the gym.
