About
Carolyn Chasalow
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a master's degree from Columbia University I have experience working with children, adolescents and families in a variety of settings, including schools, foster care, domestic violence shelters, and outpatient mental health practices. I use a holistic, client centered approach, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Family Systems Therapy and mindfulness-based practices. I also incorporate art and expressive writing to help clients process emotions that may be difficult to verbalize. I enjoy supporting children and young adults as they navigate anxiety, depression, life transitions and other emotional and behavioral challenges. My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative environment where clients feel empowered to heal, grow, and build healthy coping skills.
