About
Kelsey Barnett
Life can be so difficult in your youth years. I do my best to provide a safe space, understand all parts of a problem, and give you helpful (and effective!) tools from therapy. I find it extremely inspiring to witness young folks reach life goals, build resilience, and start healing journeys! My style is warm, creative, compassionate, and non-challenging. I have a strong background working with children, teens, young adults, and families in a variety of clinical settings that include community mental health, child advocacy, college/university healthcare settings, and now group and private practice. My approach might include art therapy, thought restructuring, coping skills to handle difficult emotions, identity exploration and support, building self-compassion, and others that are tailored to your needs. I understand that every client and problem is different, therefore therapy and treatment plans should be unique too. I believe every person is the expert of their own life and will use a strength-based lens with every client.
