About
Cherese Mbila
From an early age, I knew my purpose was to help young people feel seen, understood, and supported as they navigate life’s challenges. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and teens who are learning to manage big emotions, strengthen their self-esteem, improve communication, and build healthy relationships at home and school.
My approach blends compassion, creativity, and structure. Sessions often include play, storytelling, art, and mindfulness, which help young clients express themselves freely while learning real-world coping skills they can use every day. I also work closely with parents and caregivers to create a consistent support system that encourages teamwork between home and therapy.
Informed by my background as a military medic, I bring a calm, steady presence to therapy and a deep respect for the resilience of every child and family I serve. I create a safe, collaborative environment where young people can explore identity, culture, and confidence while learning to manage anxiety, mood changes, and life transitions.
My mission is to help children and teens build emotional strength, self-awareness, and hope so they can grow into secure, confident, and authentic individuals ready to thrive in their world.
