Hi! I’m Zoila Del-Villar (she/her), a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over a decade of experience supporting children, teens, and young adults through life’s challenges—big and small.
I specialize in working with young people navigating anxiety, grief, trauma, identity exploration, school stress, and emotional overwhelm. My approach is warm, inclusive, and grounded in respect, empathy, and real connection. Whether through individual counseling, group work, or family collaboration, I aim to create safer spaces where each client feels seen, supported, and empowered to grow.
My practice is trauma-informed and culturally responsive, meaning I honor your lived experiences and take into account the full context of your world—including race, gender, culture, family, and community. My goal is to help you build tools for emotional resilience, self-expression, and personal strength—so you can thrive on your own terms.
In addition to working in schools across New York City, I’ve taught future social workers at NYU and developed youth-centered initiatives to support students facing housing instability, trauma, and systemic barriers. Through all of this, one thing remains constant: my belief in the power, creativity, and resilience of young people.
Whether you’re a child, teen, or young adult—or a parent or caregiver looking for support—I’m here to help. Let’s work together to nurture your emotional well-being and unlock your full potential.
