Meet our therapists

Care that works with therapists you can trust.

Every Handspring therapist is licensed, specializes in kids, teens, and young adults, and is hired by us.

We’re selective about who cares for your child

Every therapist we hire is:

  • Licensed in your state

  • Specialized in working with kids, teens, and young adults

  • Experienced in evidence-based approaches like CBT

  • Interviewed and selected by our clinical team

We hire our therapists. Most therapy platforms don’t.

Most therapy platforms are networks of independent contractors. Every Handspring therapist is our employee, part of one clinical team.

Why we do it the hard way

Hiring therapists takes longer and costs more. We interview every candidate, invest in their supervision and training, and grow only as fast as we can find people who meet our bar. It’s the slower path, but it means every family gets the same high standard of care, whichever therapist they’re matched with.

  • Clinical supervision

Every therapist gets ongoing supervision from our clinical team.

  • Weekly case consultation

The team meets every week to review cases and share what’s working.

  • Ongoing evidence-based training

Regular, required training keeps every therapist current on the research.

Questions families ask

How do I know my child will be in good hands?

Every Handspring therapist is licensed and specializes in working with kids, teens, and young adults. Our therapists also participate in ongoing training and weekly clinical consultations to provide thoughtful, evidence-based care.

How will you find the right therapist for my child?

We take the time to understand your child’s needs, challenges, and personality before matching them with a therapist who has the right experience to help. Because the right relationship matters just as much as the right expertise.

What makes Handspring therapists different?

Our therapists aren’t independent contractors or providers on a marketplace. They’re part of one dedicated clinical team, working together, sharing expertise, and continually improving how they care for families.

What if my child doesn’t connect with their therapist?

Finding the right fit matters. If your child isn’t comfortable or the relationship isn’t clicking, just let us know. We’ll help match them with another therapist on our team.

How do I know therapy will actually help my child?

Our therapists use evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and track progress throughout treatment. That way, care is guided by what’s helping your child, not just how many sessions they’ve attended.

Can I be involved in my child’s therapy?

Absolutely. Parents play an important role in helping kids make progress. Depending on your child’s needs, your therapist may involve you in sessions, share strategies you can use at home, or recommend parent coaching.
