What This Webinar Covers
This webinar is designed for school-based mental health clinicians who work with children and adolescents across developmental stages and want practical guidance for recognizing and supporting children with autism in schools. The presentation will focus on how autism may show up in everyday clinical work, including students whose presentations are subtle, complex, or initially mistaken for anxiety, ADHD, behavioral challenges, or social difficulties. Participants will learn how to identify red flags, use brief screening and targeted clinical questions to clarify concerns, and implement practical supports that can be used in their work with students at school. Case examples will illustrate how to think through common referral questions, intervention planning, and collaboration with families and school teams.
