What This Webinar Covers
Anxiety disorders are the most prevalent mental health concerns in children and adolescents. School-based mental health professionals are uniquely positioned to intervene with both students and the adults who support them, fostering greater systemic distress tolerance for anxiety-related behaviors. This presentation will draw on strategies from the SPACE program (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) and exposure-based interventions, offering practical tools to help school-based professionals coach caregivers and colleagues in reducing anxiety-maintaining accommodations and scaffolding “bravery challenges” for students that promote resilience and participation.
