Watch the recording
What This Webinar Covers
This webinar will explore how trauma presents in school settings and how trauma-related behaviors are often misunderstood or mislabeled in educational and mental health systems. Participants will review common signs and manifestations of trauma in children and adolescents, including externalizing, internalizing, and culturally influenced responses. The training will introduce trauma-informed and healing-centered approaches that promote student safety, regulation, connection, and resilience while reducing the risk of re-traumatization. Through practical interventions, discussion, and case-based application, participants will strengthen their ability to provide culturally responsive and trauma-informed support within school settings. Case examples will highlight common school-based referrals and how trauma may present across emotional, behavioral, academic, and relational areas. Participants will explore ways to collaborate effectively with families, educators, and school teams while identifying developmentally appropriate interventions that support students.
